The Lion King musical tells the Hamlet-like tale of Simba, prince of African lions, who battles his evil Uncle Scar for the throne. But before Simba can take his rightful place in the "Circle of Life", he grows up with his two fun-loving friends, wisecracking meerkat Timon and smelly warthog Pumbaa. Together they teach Simba their philosophy of life, "Hakuna Matata" (No Worries).

Based on the 1994 Disney film, and book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi, the musical includes the Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Additional songs are by Hans Zimmer, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin.

Enjoy a riotous version of a Shakespeare play during this 90-minute performance in New York's famous theater district. Head to the Lounge on Broadway to see a professional actor perform a Shakespearean play after drinking five shots of whiskey. Slate Magazine calls it 'the best thing to ever happen to the theater.' Drinks are available to purchase throughout the show and there is a special treat upon arrival.

The stage is set in a hidden library with over 15,000 books. Five professional actors meet in the heart of New York City's Theater District as members of 'the Drunk Shakespeare Society.' One of them has at least five shots of whiskey, then attempts to perform a role in a Shakespearean play — more performances of Shakespeare than any other company in New York. The results are hilarious as the four sober actors try to keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking — and what they're drinking.

Take a seat and enjoy this one-of-a-kind show. Drinks and snacks are available to patrons throughout.

Enjoy a jazz concert and fish fry in a 19th-century, Brooklyn brownstone house. 'Remembering When' is a celebration of music in the heart of Brooklyn’s historic Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood, where jazz reigned in the 1930s. Enjoy live music performed in an intimate setting with Southern-style fried fish, plus an open-mic session.

This jazz concert series is hosted in a salon-style, acoustic sound room — located inside a restored Victorian brownstone building in Brooklyn's historic Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood.

Imagine retreating back to the 1930s, when jazz music reigned supreme in this burgeoning area. Spend the evening in an intimate setting, enjoying a live jazz concert, a Southern fish fry buffet, and an open-mic opportunity to sing or play an instrument.

During the 1930s, music fans didn't have to go to Manhattan to experience the jazz scene. Brooklyn had one of it's own. Bedford Stuyvesant had the largest jazz neighborhood in Brooklyn, with venues that housed jazz greats like Thelonius Monk, Randy Weston, Miles Davis, Max Roach, Hank Mobley, and others.

All that eventually changed as jazz clubs began to wane in favor of a different generation of music. This concert series revives the local jazz scene of the past, with no bells, whistles, or amps. This is salon jazz — intimate, classic, acoustic concerts — every Friday and Saturday night.

Arrive early to meet the performers, then enjoy an evening of great music, with a behind-the-scenes look at this unique jazz venue.
